I am not skeptical myself

It is ironic that when I do not feel well, the last thing I want to do is to visit the doctor. Yes, my skepticism is quite heavily laden. It actually annoys me that I, a future healthcare provider, is skeptical and doubtful about my own profession.

For example, half of my head actually hurts so much at the moment. I am dismissing the thought to see a doctor because why do I have the feeling that he would just prescribe some painkillers?

I believe I need to change this attitude. Next time, I might see patients of all sorts, whether it is a common cold case or a chronic case of cerebral palsy. If I do not change my perspective of my own profession, who am I to kid?

How to take (bitter) medicine

This is a post to teach you how to swallow a Clarinase pill, which is actually not bitter, unless failed attempts to swallow cause the outer coating of the pill to be shed off and then you taste the bitterness.

Btw, Clarinase is a nasal decongestant. It contains pseudoephedrine and loratadine.

Well, do not ever take it for granted that everyone knows how to swallow the pill. It might be quite hard  for certain people who have never taken tablets or pills. It doesn’t help when you’re not feeling well that time as well.

A friend of mine was attempting to swallow the Clarinase one fine day in Subang Carrefour repeatedly until the entire pill got so bitter. It must have been the smooth coating that isn’t very friendly with her throat. Roger (seriously, this is Roger.. I am not trying to make it sound cool just to use Federer’s first name, alright?) suggested coating honey onto the Clarinase.

It worked! One attempt and she swallowed the pill!
