It’s more than just looks

Ask me a year ago and I tell you I get disgusted by hairy men. I prefer clean, hair-less ones.

The me today realises that it is not about looks, hair, height or skin colour. It is all about the personality. That is what it is when you fall for a guy. You may have a long list of the requirements for your life partner.

Oh, I want a guy who is 15cm taller than me. He must shave. He should be ethnically chinese. He should know how to play the piano, the tennis, the..

You know what? Everything can just be eliminated or tolerated when you find that ‘him’. The guy might end up having totally opposite from the list you first excitingly wrote down with your roommates during earlier college days.

Trust me, it happens.

Not to me, yet.. haha!!

The hair habit

The Seed No. 3 has this favourite boy in church whom she calls ‘Roger Federer’.
One may wonder why would someone end up noticing a little kid in church when she was supposed to be paying attention to worship and sermon. Well, you might as well as her.

Anyway, the reason why she calls him ‘Roger Federer’ is because the little boy has quite wavy hair like Federer, kinda brown (I think!) and always combs his hand back with his hands..

Yeah, something like this..

I like my hair now

I kinda like my hair now. I like having a full-fledged fringe. Yes, to hide that bald spot on the front parting I had previously. I like it that I can put down my hair. I like it neat, though it has never been neat.

Hair is indeed a very important physical asset. Have a bad hair day, you end up looking monsterous. I like my hair long and thick. It is pretty disappointing that I do not naturally have nice hair. I need chemical treatment that costs me hundreds to get me the today look.

Yes, I do rebond my hair. Almost every year. In fact, since the summer of 2004, I have had 5 rebond sessions. Cheapest RM140. The most expensive one was at the salon called Paul & Jennifer. They charged me a freaking RM250 for a hopeless result. Went back to complain, but were denied. Horrible service. Plain arrogance. I never wanted to go there anymore. If you ask me, all the bad comments go there.

I rather go to Danny’s at Pujut 5. I have done rebonding there three times, all three times gave me quite satisfying result. I didn’t get those super flat, goodness-it’s-like-paper thin hair, but I get some natural waves, like the one I am having now.

So next time you are in town, do not even step into Paul & Jennifer (the one in Imperial Mall, shamless to say!). They only look at how much $$ you’ve got in your wallet. Look like an ordinary student and you are given the Indon maid to do your hair.

Geram.
