Habakkuk - It’s not fair!
I am glad I went to church today.
I saw this guy who looks cute on the guitar. I wonder who is he. Goodness, can’t help falling for guys who can play musical instruments.
Today’s sermon was on ‘It’s not fair’, the second in the series of teaching by Pastor on the book of Habakkuk. It is so relevant to what we are facing with nowadays. In the Bible’s context, Habakkuk was questioning God why would He allow a more evil nation to destroy a less evil nation. It is that genuine, personal relationship between Habakkuk the prophet, in line with him acknowledging the Almighty, Holy and always righteous God which allowed him to hear from God.

The gist of the sermon that I gathered is that God’s ways are always higher than ours. We humans can never comprehend His ways and thoughts. Also, we should learn to wait. God’s timing is always perfect. We cannot comprehend his timing either. Just look at David. When he was annointed to be the king by Samuel, he was still a young boy, probably 15 years old. When he became king, he was 30 years old or so. In between, he was being hunted down by the then king Saul.
Indeed, we must learn to wait upon His perfect timing. Pastor challenged us.. whether it is our job prospect, a relationship, a lifetime partner.. we may be questioning God.. why, Lord? Why? When?
Yet, beyond those questions we must learn to wait. Just because His timing is perfect.
