I ever wrote that I didn’t want to see any of the Williams sister win this Australian Open. Pardon me, I am not trying to be racist. I like players like James Blake, Gael Monfils and Tsonga. Just not the Williams sisters. Maybe it is because they have been there, like, forever. Ever since my early days of following tennis, I have already watched them play. Huge, bulky and muscular. Strong and almost manly.
Today, Venus Williams, the sixth seed crashed out of the second round at the Aussie Open in Melbourne Park. She lost to Spain’s Carla Suarez Navarro 2-6, 6-3, 7-5. Suarez Navarro came from behind firstly from one set down then 5-1 down in the final set ito knock out enus Williams, breaking Williams twice in a row in the final set to win the match. Great fight, there!

I hope I do not sound too cruel but her photo here reminds me of the 1960s. Is it the lighting, the hair or simply just the entire impression? A little research brings me to reality - this Spanish girl is 2 years younger than me. I thought she’s some senior player. LOL!

While the Australian Open goes into Day 5 tomorrow, many fans await the shrinking draw. Who would reach the finals this year? Without Maria Sharapova the defending champion in picture, would the 2008 runner-up Ana Ivanovic make it big here?

On the men’s side, many have been favouring younger generation players such as Andy Murray and perhaps even shockers like Gilles Simon. Hey, don’t you think the ‘bright’ younger players nowadays usually use Head rackets?

Andy Murray uses Head. So does Gilles Simon.

Even this little boy Bernard Tomic.

Starting this Monday, it is a definitely fun tv time for me as the first Grand Slam of the year unfolds Down Under in Melbourne Park.

I super wish Roger would win it and equal Pete Sampras’ record. But I don’t know. I don’t actually dare to wish or hope or dream. Everytime I does it, it never happens. I thought US Open sure “no hope”. But he eventually won it.
Some more against Murray in the finals.
Am I not impressed or what.
