I first watched this American actor in the comedy “What Happens In Vegas” starring Cameron Diaz. It was an impromptu decision to go for movies but I thought a romance comedy wouldn’t hurt. I have heard of this name Ashton Kutcher previously but I never exactly knew how did actor look like. It was quite heart-melting to watch him. I think he deserves to be the COTD!

Of course, like any curious person, I went to read up about this actor. I was surprised to read that he married Demi Moore (hey I always thought she was with Bruce Willis - this shows how outdated I am!).. and their age difference is a gasping 15 years!

Ashton’s former girlfriend Ashley Ellerin was found stabbed to death in her apartment in February 2001. She was a fashion model. Just hours before she was found dead, Ashton went to her place to pick her up for the 43rd Grammy Awards, but no one answered the door. Through a back window, he saw what looked like red wine stains, and left. Her body was found later in the day by her roommate. After learning about that, Ashton went to the police to offer any help if he was needed in the investigation.

In August 2008, police announced that they had traced Ellerin’s murder to suspected serial killer Michael Gargiulo, a Santa Monica resident who is charged in the stabbing deaths of at least three women.

It has been ages since I last caught a feel-good, romantic comedy on the silver screen. Last night, I went to watch What Happens in Vegas at Berjaya Times Square’s GSC.

The last time I watched something so ‘light’ must have been My Best Friend’s Wedding? Coincidentally, Cameron Diaz starred in it as well.

Oh my, it was in 1997! Some more than a decade ago!!

I truly enjoyed this show, despite some exaggeration. I felt so teary-eyed at the scene when Jack saw how Joy reacted to her ex-boyfriend when he came out from the washroom at the party at the park. And the part when they were holding Jack’s niece Sammy’s hands.. little little things like that get me all emotionally worked up at times.

That aside, It is obvious you can see that Diaz has shown some ageing signs. I means, everyone does get old, you know? You can never stay young forever.
