Capo, where art thou

Can you imagine, I completely forgotten that next week would be CNY and I was planning to leave my fingernails long in case I was thinking of a nice manicure. I nicely chopped off my nails when it was hampering my guitar strumming practice.

Argh!

Anyway, I cannot progress in my guitar playing because I haven’t got myself a capo. Even the pick I use now doesn’t belong to me.

Capo… me need capo.

The sound of music

Gosh, how I love the piano.

I just cannot stop admiring the sound coming out from the piano. It is simply so beautiful. I love, love, LOVE music. It is not only guitars but guitars and songs from various artists.

Se7en, for example.

Drool, people. Drool.

He is so so hot.

My latest fad

Guitars.

Over and over, I fall in and out of love to learn how to play a song. I still fail miserably.

My friend Lashin Out (you can call him Lestat as well) is another guitar fan who asked me to play with him. I thought okay lah, try try.

Suffice to say that I am far from even a basic player. I am just so, so slow when it comes to fine movements like plucking, strumming or even holding on the strings properly. What is wrong with me!?!?

Well, guitars can be so fun. Look at this!

Right. My sister thinks I am abit overboard and she is sick of me telling her my story about the guitar. I think she is even more shocked to see me so daringly steal some random photo and crop it off here. Laughters fill the air. Like what Stephen Tong says, life is short. Don’t wait. No one waits for you.

You either eat the Krispy Kreme or you live the entire life of yours wondering how it tastes like.

Blessed

Alright. I have to admit that I didn’t have much hope when I purchased this cd. I just purchased it to support the local Christian music scene. I know how much effort people put in.. so the least I could do is to support by buying the original.

Anyway, since this Steve Leong is from my church DUMC, I thought all the more I must support lah. I bought it at the Burning Bush shop in the Dream Centre for RM30.

After putting them in my Creative player, I had them on during my jog this morning.

My, I am tremendously touched and blessed by the songs inside. Instead of the usual Fly.FM I tune in which plays Katy Perry’s every hour, a change to this album on my player really refreshed me. I really love the hymn ‘I know who holds tomorrow’. The lyrics speaks to me, speaks of me..

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow

I don’t know about tomorrow;
I just live from day to day.
I don’t borrow from its sunshine
For its skies may turn to grey.

I don’t worry o’er the future,
For I know what Jesus said.
And today I’ll walk beside Him,
For He knows what is ahead.

Many things about tomorrow
I don’t seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

Every step is getting brighter
As the golden stairs I climb;
Every burden’s getting lighter,
Every cloud is silver-lined.

There the sun is always shining,
There no tear will dim the eye;
At the ending of the rainbow
Where the mountains touch the sky.

Many things about tomorrow
I don’t seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.

I don’t know about tomorrow;
It may bring me poverty.
But the one who feeds the sparrow,
Is the one who stands by me.

And the path that is my portion
May be through the flame or flood;
But His presence goes before me
And I’m covered with His blood.

Many things about tomorrow
I don’t seem to understand
But I know who holds tomorrow
And I know who holds my hand.
