Err.. Yes. I watched this ‘Seducing Mr Perfect’ starring Daniel Henney. I just think it is typical ‘fairy-tale’ sort of story line. There are some interesting points embedded in the movie.
For example. Don’t feed his ego. Don’t pick up the phone. If he is really looking for you, he will call you a few times.
I mean.. playing hard to get? Bleah! I don’t know!
Having said that, I had this really sweet pavlova while watching.

Okay la.. I shall just award the COTD to Daniel Henney.. just because I haven’t blogged COTD recently.

This 31-year-old dude is an American with Korean blood. Despite speaking very little Korean, Henney became a household name through the South Korean hit TV drama, My Name is Kim Sam Soon. Following his success in Sam Soon, he has continued to work as a professional actor.
There you go!

I finally finished reading The Time Traveler’s Wife.

It took me some good few weeks to finish reading it. Initially, I found the book hard to follow.. I could not really grasp the chrono displacement (or was it ‘impairement) concept. I was a bit at loss reading. It was only nearly half way through that I understood and everything became clear.
After finishing a good read, I decided to ‘feast’ at the movie.

This is one of the rare ocassions when I actually read a book before watching the silver screen version. I can now understand how hard it is to fit every single ocassion or event from a book into a movie. They left out many subplots such as Lucille (Clare’s mother)’s death, Ingrid (Henry’s former lover) and how his feet were amputated (??).
Having said that, a movie can just be 2 hours long, anyway. A book which I read for 2 weeks warped into the screen for 2 hours. How much more do you want?
Honestly, I do not know which is better.. the book or the movie.. you take the pick!

Interesting movie I am watching about Julie and Julia. It enters the realm of blogging and cooking.. never really a good cook myself (confession: never even cooked prior to coming here!) but blogging?
Hehehe.
Blogging is definitely easier than cooking. But cooking does seem fun now that I think of it. A lot of determination.. like how to poach an egg. It is interesting, but I don’t think I would ever get there with my lousy culinery skills and indifference towards tastes of food.
Whatever it is, live life! Cut and bleed.

I am watching My Sister’s Keeper now. The girl looks freakingly familiar (no, not Cameron Diaz) so I decided to do a little search and found that this 13-year-old actress acted in Definitely, Maybe.
I am 22 minutes into the movie and I shall see how it goes, since I never actually read the book. I think Jodi Picoult books write of sad, sad stories, I believe.. touching!

I think many people are going to mourn over the passing of director Yasmin Ahmad.

I first learnt about her when the film Sepet boomed in the local film industry. Being someone who hardly follows the local entertainment scene, I was surprised to find myself drawn to Sepet. It must be that cross-cultural message sent across in the movie. Something different from the typical locally produced films.

Yasmin Ahmad is also well known for her Petronas ads on local tv. She has those very touching and different-than-typical ads which draw one’s attention.
Yasmin Ahmad collapsed a few days ago when she was at Sri Pentas. It was buzzing everywhere from online dailies to Twitter and Facebook where everyone was spreading news and updates on her. Just now, a Facebook status caught my attention.
“RIP Yasmin Ahmad” it says. I was shocked. I went to The Star and found that she has passed away near midnight last night from massive cranial haemorrhage. Her body will be buried at the SS20 muslim cemetery.
