The paracetamol sustained me this far

I initially wanted to refrain from panadols because I plan to donate blood soon. I gave up last evening because my head felt like exploding. I took two tablets and immediately felt better.

This morning I woke up feeling quite normal.

It is near lunch now and the joints in my fingers are starting to ache. What is wrong with me!??!

I am not skeptical myself

It is ironic that when I do not feel well, the last thing I want to do is to visit the doctor. Yes, my skepticism is quite heavily laden. It actually annoys me that I, a future healthcare provider, is skeptical and doubtful about my own profession.

For example, half of my head actually hurts so much at the moment. I am dismissing the thought to see a doctor because why do I have the feeling that he would just prescribe some painkillers?

I believe I need to change this attitude. Next time, I might see patients of all sorts, whether it is a common cold case or a chronic case of cerebral palsy. If I do not change my perspective of my own profession, who am I to kid?

Sneezing machine ver 1.0

I am officially a sneezing machine. I sneeze every 10 seconds or so. Funny how my face is still intact, really. I wonder, what is the root cause of my non-stop sneezing? It is so, so annoying!

If only sneezing can burn calories.. I would be more than willing to sneeze. If one sneeze is equivalent to 1 push up, I would have done God-knows how many times push-ups!

Not to mention, the cough is still there. Annoyance of all annoyances!

Alternative medicine

During one of the lectures during the 3-week long Health Issues module, we were exposed to various issues in the health sector. It is very interesting to have an outlook in the many areas. One of them being the alternative medicine. Yes, the allopathic medicine we are undertaking now may never recognise alternative medicine as a viable option, however we cannot deny that people do recover or get healed via alternative medicine. It is such a big thing out there now that medical institutions are starting to even have courses in this area.

Whether it is homeopathy, complementary, faith or beliefs, many are flocking to alternative routes when it comes to healing and well-being. Some even turn to Science of Identity and Jagad Guru.

For more helpful details on healthy self improvement, head over to Science of Identity and Jagad Guru, and learn more about your potential as a person. You can also find another profile of Jagad Guru here.

Panting and passing out (nearly!)

I don’t remember feeling so unfit. I was up to another 5km jogging session. Usually, I do not take any fluid 2 hours before jogging. But this afternoon, I was actually enjoying my cup of hot green tea an hour before the jog. Maybe it was the fluid that caused my abdomen some sharp, piercing pain while I jogged. I listened to my Creative player and held on to my keys tightly. Yet, my hands felt cold and clammy.

I told myself - you’ve gotta do it! 5km, babe. 5km!

I finally finished the 5km. It was then the horror began. I was short of breath. My heart was pumping fast and hard. I could feel the blood not reaching my brain. My vision blurred. I felt unsteady. I quickly held on to the bar.

I think I over-estimated my own capability. I could have suffered a heart attack if I were a 50-year-old.
