OCD

I am watching Oprah on Hallmark now. It is a special on OCD people. I realised that I probably have a certain degree of OCD but not to the very extreme.

At one point, I was so particular about my feet that every other time, I would be washing them. It was awful. I could not even go barefooted at home.

The toilet matter is annoyingly particular for me as well. I was just so, so particular about bathrooms and toilets that I become so uncomfortable whenever I am out of my comfort zone.

Not to mention, when I was younger, I had this crippling fear of something bad happening to myself or loved ones. My imaginations trapped me in fear. Just so sick and tired of all these.

But Christ has set me free!

Always refreshing

It is always a common sighting to see people of all ages sit in coffee shops in the bright sunny morning eating some delicious breakfast dish. Call it brunch if it after 10am, but it is still the same ol’ good breakfast dish.

What do you down them with?

Or I meant - what drink would be your choice in a hot morning? Some would take the mandatory ‘kopi o kosong‘ or what we love to call ‘black coffee’. Others opt for tea. Empty tea. Just tea.

However, younger and more adventurous people would opt for various add-ons. We have ‘Teh C‘ which means tea with sugar and milk. Others even call for ‘Teh C Special‘ which has 3 to 5 layers of different syrup for extra strength and sweetness.

As for me, it is never a wrong choice to go for iced lemon tea.

COTD: Shoobie!

I know, I know. Why did I even put Shoobie into the Cutie of The Day column?

But honestly, this bear-dog is seriously cute! He is just unbelievably cute I do not have to explain much in words for you to grasp the gist. He smiles so adorably. He is just a star!

C’mon.. don’t tell me you are not impressed.

The good choice

I don’t know about you, but one ingredient I love to add in soup or dishes is the big onions.

These big onions add sweetness to the dish. My favourite would be dumping them into a pot of soup. The tomyam soup with a zing. Add lots of them to add sweetness in the midst of the spicy and sour tomyam soup.

On the other hand, you can also add it in a dish of dory fish. It is my favourite fish dish!

Of course, another dish must be fried onion rings. Unhealthy oil content, but definitely yummmss as well!

I believe the big onions contain many nutrients and minerals. I don’t know exactly what is that but I think it helps in the facial complexion. Perhaps it has anti oxidants, I suspect.

COTD” Elvin Ng

Hello again to this ‘Cutie of The Day’ corner on this near-dying-but-I-hope-not blog.

Today, let me introduce to you the first Asian to make it to COTD.

His name is Elvin Ng and he is an actor under Mediacorp. That certainly almost means he is Singaporean, which I confirmed with my sis who read some Wiki on him that he is. Well, he has this distinct accent in mandarin which caught my attention every time I watch Mediacorp series. The most recent one I watched was Kinship II. Well, it is quite outdated but that is the best AEC Astro can offer, I suppose.

According to some sources, Elvin is a literature grad. You should read his blog and you will see why.
